The Vlad Mikhel's project "22:22" in "ïËNÏ" gallery

Vlad Mikhel's project is very cinematographic. His "acting" way of thinking is observed in his pictures, which remind us a storyboard, his photographs of the venue and video projection in the display area. Illuminated objects, like sea-lights, make us focus on the story line, preventing it from the script shifts, and they define the participants and the time. The expressive means of different arts present the psychological state transformation of the main character - exinanition, self-rejection, loneliness, and, as X-rays, they highlight the stages of his changes from the black dumb space. This difficult way brings the main character to real understanding of himself. The plot of the Vlad Mikhel's story is about a person who finds himself in another person and another person in himself.

The immovable space of photographs becomes the metaphor of loneliness, despite the fact that except a lonesomeperson there is always someone else. Characters of the graphic series appear from the darkness, they do not allow the main character to dissolve in distraught feelings. And arriving and leaving trains on video with the constant time 22:22 continue to carry the passengers. The artist organizes the "stage" space in the same dramatic way. The red strip-road connects all objects together, defining the ways of meaning: from the lonely person on the black and red object to the video of the "metro station" on the opposite wall, from a character to the venue.

Synthesis of plastic and spatiotemporal arts gives to the story polyphonic sounding. Using of various art languages allows Vlad Mikhel to tell his story from many sides, affecting different emotional registers.
